SOP For Closing of Packaging Line During Tea/Lunch Breaks

  1. OBJECTIVE:

The purpose of this SOP is to lay down the procedure for closing of packing line during tea / lunch breaks.  

  1. SCOPE:

                This SOP applicable for closing of packing department during tea / lunch breaks at manufacturing facility of XXX.    

  1. RESPONSIBILITY:

Packaging Personnel shall be responsible for Closing of Packing Department as per the SOP. 

Head packaging shall be responsible for effective implementation of procedure.

  1. PROCEDURE:

4.1         The procedure outlines the checks to be carried out during the stoppage of packing line during tea / lunch breaks. 

4.1.1    Ensure that the product is not present between the sealing roller and all packs are    removed from the machine conveyor of strip pack machine / blister pack machine.

4.1.2    Check that the vibrator of strip pack machine / blister pack machine is switched    OFF.

4.1.3        Check that blister pack machine vacuum pump is switched OFF.

4.1.4      Check that the defoiler machine is switched OFF and ensure that the defoiled tablets and scrap is covered properly with polybag.

4.1.5       Check that the conveyor belt is switched OFF.

4.1.6    Check that the good packs / rejected packs / loose packs are kept properly in their respective containers and label them.

4.1.7      Ensure that all the filled cartons are overprinted, and weighed on carton weighing balance or check weigher.

4.1.8           Check that loose shippers were halfly taped.    

4.1.9           Switch OFF lights and AHU before closing the department.
